PREREGISTER FOR THE SECOND GUIDED TOUR WITH FIBER ADVENTURES.

We invite you to join us for our second guided tour.  We are currently accepting registrations for this 3 day workshop to be held the first weekend after Labor Day, that’s Sept 7-9 at Treehaven near Tomahawk, WI.

During this workshop we will focus on painting fabric, thread painting and free motion quilting.  Jamie, who is an accomplished artist will be teaching about applying paint to fabric.  No experience or artistic training is needed.  Participants can choose to follow Jamie’s premade designs or create their own.  Louise, who’s strength is in thread painting and free motion quilting, will be taking participants from the basics to more advanced designs and techniques.  At the end of the weekend each participant will go home with a piece of their own which they have painted and stitched.

SCHEDULE FOR THE RETREAT

Friday Evening –6:00 PM – A trunk show by the fireplace with snacks, wine and soft drinks introducing your tour guides, Jamie and Louise.  They’ll show samples of their work and a preview of the weekend’s activities.  Use this as an opportunity to get oriented and socialize with tour guides and other participants.

Saturday – 9 AM - Instruction starts with participants divided into 2 groups of no more than 12 each.  Techniques will be demonstrated and practiced throughout the day and evening.

Sunday –Participants will have all morning and afternoon to work on their final project.  Jamie and Louise will be available for help during this time.  At 3 PM we say goodbye and look forward to our next tour together.

What to bring:  sewing machine, freemotion quilting foot and camera if desired.  Other information will follow. 

Cost is $260 includes instruction, 2 nights lodging (double occupancy), and 5 meals.  Special rates are available for commuters and for private rooms as needed.
